Tonight's homework...

So... week number one is down. We have started to implement classroom procedures and gradually begin our 5th grade academic careers. No assignments or anything most weekends. Enjoy!
Complete this year's registration paperwork online if you'd like
Dear GUSD Elementary Families,
Welcome back to another wonderful school year in the GUSD!
Today you received a Returning Student Registration packet from your school with forms to update your child's information, including parent contact information, emergency contacts, Parent Handbook forms, and financial aid/benefit information.
If you haven't already, we encourage you to save time by completing these forms online in your Q Parent Connection Portal.
If you complete the Returning Student Registration forms online, or if you already logged into Parent Connection and completed these forms over the summer, then you do not need to complete the paper forms. If you prefer to complete a paper form, please return the form(s) to your school as instructed.
How do I complete my Returning Student Registration online?
- Visit the Parent Connection portal at parent.gusd.net
- Log in using your PIN # and password
- Click “Returning Student Registration” in the top right corner
- Update your student and parent/guardian information for each section (note: each parent/guardian will need to update their information using their individual PIN/password)
What if I do not know my PIN/password?
Visit parent.gusd.net and click “Need Your Login Information?” An email with your personal PIN and TEMPORARY PASSWORD will be sent to the email address we have on file.
Need additional support?
Online Support: Click here to view our online RSR instructional guide.
For additional assistance, please call or visit your school office.

Day # 2 - done and dusted!
We have had a nice couple of days brushing up on procedures and introducing the 5th grade curriculum.
No homework as of yet, although assignments will slowly start to trickle in. Nothing major
I do need the state lunch program form filled out physically (you can just mark a check for "no" if you'd like in the top right hand corner) or online. These forms determine our eligibility for Title I funding and we need to know our demographics.
Today's parent assignment is to fill out the white information card, which does need to be physically filled out so that our office has a hard copy.
I don't send out Thursday folders on Thursdays for a signature. The folder can be daily used to send home flyers and corrected assignments.
Thank you all so much for the early support! Please know that if you need anything or have any questions or concerns that my door is open any time, and you may call or email (mhewitt@gusd.net)
