Important info from 5th grade committee

Dear 5th Grade Families,

I’m disappointed to share the news that our movie night fundraiser is cancelled due to lack of participation. I can understand with the many events going on, it’s hard to choose which to participate in, but we really tried to make this as fun as possible so we could benefit from the potential $2000 to use toward our 5th grade activities like they had last year. We still have a few more fundraiser lined up, so hopefully we can do better with those.

We have another opportunity next week at Keppel Rocks on November 8th to earn 20% from the entire event if we run the concession stand. So far, only a handful of people have signed up. I am attaching the link again in case you haven’t had the chance to look at it. We divided them into hour time slots to make it more accommodating. Please see if they work for your schedules.

We need everyone's help to make this happen. I encourage everyone to take the time to contribute. We always have the option of giving up the fundraisers and just paying for the events as they come. But please keep in mind, if we don’t have enough funding for ALL the kids and not everyone donates, then we have to cancel or minimize all their events. The goal of the committee is to make this year as festive and memorable as possible, but it truly takes a village!

Please also save the date for the Scholastic Book Fair the week of December 9th-13th. We will need lots of volunteers!
