Placement Auditions
         

Date: September 24, 2015
Time: 3:00 – 5:30 PM
Place: Keppel Dance Room

What to wear:     Jazz shoes (if you have them)
T-shirt and shorts
` Hair in ponytail

Requirements: ELITE Team:  Must have prior dance experience and/or have
participated on the ELITE Prep Team.

ELITE Team – 4th and 5th Graders (Outside Competition/Performances)
ELITE Prep Team – 3rd/4th/5th Grades (Beginning technique and school performance)

For either team, the student must be self disciplined and focused and capable of dancing for up to two hours per rehearsal period.  Absences are frowned upon (illness and family emergencies are an excused absence – maximum 2).  After two unexcused absences, the student is dropped from the program.  Medical absences require a note from the doctor.  Mrs. Neel should always be called or you may text.  Excessive tardiness is also not tolerated.  Teacher recommendation form is mandatory as well as grade check.

ELITE Team works on Mondays and Fridays - 3:00 – 4:30 or 5:00
ELITE Prep Team works on Wednesdays - 3:00 – 4:30 or 5:00

For ELITE team, we are looking for students who can do FULL splits/toe touches or Russians/high kicks/single turn at minimum/and knows and understands dance terms and can follow directions and pick up choreography quickly.

ELITE Prep is the training ground for ELITE team.  Students will be taught the basics of dance/drill, hip hop/POM/musical theater dance styles.  Again, a self disciplined student is what we are looking for.  

There is minimum monthly donation for each group to pay for choreographers – I will have two new choreographers this year.  
ELITE  Competition team:   $35.00
ELITE Prep team:   $20.00

  • All team members will need:
Team shirt:   $14.00
Black jazz pants:   Up to $28.00
Black jazz shoes:   Between $28.00 on up (depending up where you buy them).

ELITE Team will have a few more expenses as I would like them to have
warm ups for when they go to competition and/or other outings.  
Price to be determined….mindful of budget!

ELITE activities:  Montrose Christmas Parade/Desi Geestman Cancer Fundraiser/Block Party/Outside competitions in and around Los Angeles County/End of year Dance Revue in conjunction with TOLL ELITE and Cheer.

ELITE Prep Activities:  Montrose Christmas Parade/Desi Geestman Cancer Fundraiser/Block Party/End of year show in conjunction with TOLL ELITE and TOLL Cheer.
