Note: We have been working on a writing unit for the past three weeks.  We have been writing multiple drafts and stories, revising, editing, peer editing, and finally picking out a piece for "publication".  The book is to be typed or neatly written with a cover, illustrations, etc.  Students have artistic freedom to design this any way they wish, and I have no requirements for font, spacing, size, and the like.  Feel free to contact me any time if you have any questions at mhewitt@gusd.net

Keppel Rocks is just around the corner.  We are given the opportunity to raise funds for 5th grade activities.  5th grade is in charge of concessions with this year's event.  We will receive 20% of all earnings from Keppel Rocks.  Please consider helping us on Friday, November 3rd.  We have time slots for set up, sales and clean up.  We appreciate anything that you can offer.  Every opportunity to raise funds will help decrease our costs for this year's fun activities.  Your support is greatly needed. We hope to see you all there!
